  • Profile information: adoption type, state or region, and journey stage.
  • Documents: files you upload for your adoption checklist.
  • Expense records: amounts, categories, and optional receipts.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, and device information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the iAdopt platform.
  • Personalise your adoption journey experience.
  • Send important account and service notifications.
  • Improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised analytics.
  • Respond to support requests and inquiries.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Microsoft Azure data centres. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, and access controls to protect your information.

Documents and receipts are stored in Azure Blob Storage with per-user isolation. Access is controlled via short-lived, scoped tokens.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

  • With your consent: when you explicitly choose to share information with a partner or co-applicant.
  • Service providers: trusted third parties that help operate the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery).
  • Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and download your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate information in your profile.
  • Delete your account and associated data.
  • Export your documents and expense records.
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We use Azure Application Insights for anonymised usage analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date and notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
